YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

Community & Me

Grades: K-5th

In partnership with Dearborn Park International Elementary School

Funded by Best Starts for Kids

Community and Me is to encourage the youth to think creatively and openly as individuals. Through learning more about leadership and S.T.E.A.M. topics, the youth will work together as individual leaders to accept and encourage each other to be confident leaders in their communities. We encourage students to use the environment around them to have their own wonderings and create their own meanings.

Filipino Club At Aki Kurose

Grades: 6th-8th

In partnership with Aki Kurose Middle School

The  Filipino Club focuses on building a strong community through activities and family style dining that educate the youth about our Filipino Culture. Youth reflect and share their own stories about their journey and identity as Filipino/Filipino Americans and the different communities they belong to.

High School Program

Grades: 9th-12th

Funded by United Way of King County

Student led program where FCS provides the “what”, Students provide the “how”

Collectively, we provide the “why”. In its early stage of program, FCS Youth Development Team (YDP) is currently working with the students on further developing the name and description of this program.
